In the same way, one who is established in the big mind, all their desires get fulfilled effortlessly. That is why yoga, meditation and spiritual knowledge are important. A person who runs behind desires gets nothing in their hands. So let go and take refuge in the quiet corner of your heart and then everything will be yours. Best not to try to build a relationship, just be yourself; be natural and be simple and a relationship will develop naturally.
If you try to build a relationship, that is when you become a little artificial. Then your behavior becomes artificial, not natural.
Chapter 1 – Chasing Sunrise – Chapters Of Love
You move away. What you like, that is what others like as well. You like someone to be very honest, open, natural, unassuming with you, correct? That is exactly what the other also wants from you. Best is to be yourself, be forgiving and be in the present moment. First you should recognize your soul and then your soul mate. Your own mind drives you crazy. One minute it wants something and the next minute it wants something else. That is why it is said, "Your own mind is responsible for your bondage and for your liberation, nothing else". A relationship can either take the form of strength or weakness depending on the mind.
If the mind is strong then a relationship can be like a gift, but if the mind is weak and not in control, then a relationship can feel like bondage. If you get a perfect person, they will also be looking for a perfect life partner. Are you that perfect person? Look for a good person and get married. Even if you get somebody who is not up to your mark, I tell you, you have the ability to change them! Believe in this and move on. Time will tell. Always know that there is a sense of sacrifice in love, while attachment only brings misery. In the name of love, if you fall into an infatuation or attachment, then you will only get misery.
But in true love, even sacrifice brings contentment. Love brings sacrifice and contentment, while attachment and feverishness can only bring misery. From whomever you receive love, just know that it from the divine. You are getting love from the one supreme energy. All your affection is also is toward that one energy only, and you are simply receiving its love through this person or that person.
Know this and relax! If you get sunlight through the window, know that the light is coming from the sun.
It is not the light of the window. Understand this much and relax. The moment you start demanding, you become miserable. Win them over with your service and your love. If someone tells you, "I will take you to a movie tomorrow", and you wait for them at the movie theater and they don't show up, how would you feel. A commitment can only be felt when it oversteps convenience. That which is convenient is not commitment. Often, what is convenient does not bring comfort, but gives an illusion of comfort.
Also if you are too stuck in commitment, and it is very inconvenient, you are be unable to fulfill your commitment and will feel frustrated. Wisdom is to strike a balance between convenience and commitment. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: Listen, would you like your spouse, or boyfriend, or girlfriend to have two relationships? First you answer that! What you are doing, would you like someone else to do the same thing to you? Can you accept it? Your mind will say no, right? It is better to be loyal in one relationship.
It is no good to hurt two people at the same time. Someone asked this question to God. First he said, "God, can you make a road from Europe to North America? Then he said, "Okay, if that is difficult, can you make someone fall in love with me and stay? Tell me how soon you want the bridge to be made".

Relationship Advice from Sri Sri. Chapter 1 Entering Relationships. Love with Wisdom Love with wisdom is what makes love eternal. Sri Sri shares with us pointers to develop a love soaked with wisdom, offering us a chance to build a perfect relationship with our loved ones: 1 Extend a Helping Hand When there is great love, you take total responsibility for any misunderstanding.
Get frustrated. Turn the love into hatred and wish for revenge. Again and again remind them how much you love them and how little they love you. Become fussy and cranky, or throw tantrums. Feel humiliated and try to protect your respect. Resolve never to love again. Feel hurt and mistreated. Try to be aloof and indifferent. Have patience and change your expression of love. Be centered and limit your expression of love. Sometimes over-expression of love puts people off. Take it for granted that they love you too and accept their style of expression.
Like a mother's love which is the same irrespective of the child's behavior. Turn your demand into gratefulness. The more you are grateful in life, the more love comes your way. Know that hurt is part of love and take responsibility for it. When you move away from your center, you will definitely get hurt. The nature of worldliness is misery.
You need to learn a new way: to love and still be centered!

Hafen similarly explored the application of the parable of the lost sheep, explaining that at certain points in our life, each of us might be like the lost sheep and in need of help:. The lost sheep is a young person, far away from home and faced with loneliness and temptation. The lost sheep is a person who has just lost a critically needed job; a business person in financial distress; a new missionary in a foreign culture; a man just called to be bishop; a married couple who are misunderstanding each other; a grandmother whose children are forgetting her.
I am the lost sheep. You are the lost sheep. Not at all. The woman in the parable can represent anyone who has responsibility to watch over and spiritually care for someone else. Hinckley — taught how we can help prevent this from happening, especially with new members of the Church:. There must be friendship. There must be love unfeigned.
There must be appreciation and thanks expressed. There must be constant nurturing with the good word of God. All of these are small things, so easy to do, and they make so great a difference. With very few exceptions it need not happen. It means cutting old ties. It means leaving friends. It may mean setting aside cherished beliefs. It may require a change of habits and a suppression of appetites. In so many cases it means loneliness and even fear of the unknown.
President M. We must never forget that through the Atonement, the Lord Jesus Christ paid a great price for the redemption of each one of us. Though the text of Luke does not give a name to the parable found in Luke —32 , it has become known as the parable of the prodigal son. The word prodigal means wasteful and recklessly extravagant.
The parable actually tells of two sons, one wasteful see Luke —24 and the other resentful see Luke —32 , both of whom need to be reconciled to their father. Fidelity, not geography, really determines the distance! Prodigal Son, by Liz Lemon Swindle. His father ran and kissed him. At the time this parable was given, one who had done the acts the prodigal son committed would have faced public scorn and ridicule upon his return. He had not given up on his son. The father publicly embraced and kissed his son in an act of forgiveness and reconciliation and then brought him the rest of the way home.
The parable of the prodigal son teaches us much about the nature and attributes of our Father in Heaven. Like the father in the parable, God will not control us, keep us from straying, or keep us from making selfish, foolish errors. Yet His love never diminishes.
Perfect Match, Book 1 Choices
He knows us so well that He can recognize our better selves when no one else can. Each of us, male or female, will be able to recognize something of ourselves in each of the sons in the parable. The parable also teaches us about what the Savior does for us when we turn from sin and return to Him. Through the Atonement, He runs to welcome us home and does not require us to make the trek of repentance alone. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in the commentary for Luke — The older son had been dutiful, but in some ways he too was distant from his father. By refusing to join in the feast, he too publicly brought shame and embarrassment to his father, though not to the extent of the younger son.
The father left the feast to seek out his elder son rather than waiting for the elder son to come to him, as culture would dictate.
BLOODY HUNTERS SAGA
The father offered love and grace to both sons, the faithful and the less faithful. Holland explained that one of the lessons we can learn from the elder son in the parable is the self-destructive consequence of jealousy:. He forgets for a moment that every calf on the ranch is already his and so are all the robes in the closet and every ring in the drawer. He forgets for a moment that his faithfulness has been and always will be rewarded.
He has yet to come to the compassion and mercy, the charitable breadth of vision to see that this is not a rival returning. It is his brother. But the older brother lives in some confinement, too. He has, as yet, been unable to break out of the prison of himself. He is haunted by the green-eyed monster of jealousy. He feels taken for granted by his father and disenfranchised by his brother, when neither is the case.
He has fallen victim to a fictional affront. Careful study shows, however, that the parable teaches the care with which the Saints of God should approach the task of preparing for their eternal future. Knowing that he had but a short time left in his appointed post, the steward wisely tried to secure his future by winning some friends. Talmage explained:.
Take a lesson from even the dishonest and the evil; if they are so prudent as to provide for the only future they think of, how much more should you, who believe in an eternal future, provide therefor! Luke —18 provides the context that led the Savior to teach the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. See Luke — The Joseph Smith Translation expands upon Luke —18 , making clear that in the parable Jesus taught to the Pharisees, he was comparing the rich man to them and teaching them what lay in their future if they continued to pervert the right way:.
The 1 Corinthians ‘Love Chapter’ Isn’t Just For Weddings
And you pervert the right way; and the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence of you; and you persecute the meek; and in your violence you seek to destroy the kingdom; and ye take the children of the kingdom by force. Woe unto you, ye adulterers! It may have surprised the Pharisees to hear that the rich man went to hell, while Lazarus went to paradise.
