There are usually about a dozen very good soups that range from basic flavors chicken, pea soup, mushroom barley, etc. Served with bread, although there is a first-rate cornbread, too. Too many places ruin corn muffins and cornbread by using some vainalla -- this place does not, all for the better.
The wraps are delicious, with tasty combos of a main ingredient and extras, condiments. Great salad bar that can include the expected greens and veggies as well as more substantive additions like curry chicken salad and calamari.
I haven't tried the burgers or burritos that come in many options, but they look good. There is a big grab-and-go deli area that would be a good option for sandwiches, wraps, salads, etc. Beer and wine are available, with beers in a small variety of specialty brews. Breakfast is mostly eggs or omlettes, as well as very nice bakery. Casual, eclectic atmosphere with booths and tables, a sofa in the window, all in an older historic building.
The walls are covered with an assortment of items from the past. Frankly, I wish I had one of these places closer to where I live, and not just a place to stop in when I'm visiting the family. It's a real gem. This is my favorite place to grab a quick sandwich for lunch. They have a great salad bar, way too many interesting wraps, paninis, sandwiches, and soups to choose from. My tip is to get there before noon if you want to get in and out quickly or to be able to easily grab a seat. It's fun because you feel like you are in Seatlle or Portland.
